I took the Myer Briggs Personality Test.. and this is what it came out as…..

Engaged Idealists like you are extroverted and helpful. Others find you to be very congenial and inspiring – especially as you are always willing to see the best in the other person. Your humour, your energy and your optimism attract other people. Engaged Idealists are very good at communicating and are good at convincing and firing on others. That is why it is a matter of course that you often take over the leading role in groups. Your personality type often produces very charismatic persons.
Engaged Idealists have an unusually strong ability to empathise. You are tolerant and generous towards others; you sometimes tend to idealise your friends. You always try to suit everybody and want your relationships to be harmonious and satisfactory. To achieve this, you are prepared to invest a great deal and to put your requirements last. As Engaged Idealists are very considerate, there is the danger of you sacrificing and overexerting yourself for others. In your job, you therefore have to be very careful not to develop a burnout syndrome. As an Engaged Idealist you are one of the extroverted personality types. You enjoy working in a colorfully diverse group of people who interest and inspire you. Working in a “secluded room” is not your thing. You enjoy emphasizing with those around you and soon everybody senses the high priority and importance people represent to you. Therefore a team-oriented project is just right for you.

Your insight into human nature, your feel for your colleague’s and/or subordinate’s positive sides and potentials and your preparedness to encourage and support everyone around you to the best of your ability quickly brings them closer to you. People like to ask you for advice, appreciate your caring ways and appreciate to be taken under your wings. Within your means you are always available to others who need you because you yourself enjoy the ultimate gratification of being able to help others to make the best of themselves and to be successful mediating conflicts among people.

You are well suited to be an executive: It is difficult to resist your charisma, your enthusiasm and your ability to excite and motivate others. Authoritarian management attitudes are not your thing; it is your way to convince others of a project’s reason and significance who will then look forward to follow you voluntarily. You place a lot of value on creating the willingness to cooperate in others and with your gift to motivate that usually comes easy to you. You do not enjoy conflicts, need harmony and invest lots of energy and time in a good working climate and a harmonic relationship of your colleagues among each other.”

I had a BBQ with the family (although all I ate was watermelon and potato chips because I didn’t have time to prepare a vegan dish). But overall it was fun. I watched a firework show over a lake by my Mother’s house, and we also lit off some of our own. My favorite was the Unicorn Fountain! It was pretty long lasting and beautiful.

I’m super anxious to get my Taste of Oregon Box that I ordered from Vegan Cuts.

As soon as I get it I’ll post my review on it… I know I’m going to love it though. ;)

P.S. The Vegan Girls Guide To Life By Melisser Elliott is AMAZING! Definitely a good purchase. <3

Guess what showed up at my door step this afternoon? The Vegan Girl’s Guide To Life By Melisser Elliot!! It’s filled with Cruelty-free crafts, recipes, and beauty secrets. :)  I saw a few reviews on this book, and instantly knew that I needed it in my collection of vegan reads. I’m SO excited to read this, and I’ll let you guys know how it was when I’m finished. But I can already tell it will be amazing!

Happy Canada Day!

Going Raw!

In August my goal is to go 100% raw! I’m doing it for the health benefits of course. :) I’m hoping the detoxing process isn’t too harsh on my body and I can make it through the month, and if I really like the results, I will stick with it for awhile… maybe even forever? ;) I’ve been doing a lot of research! I found a local co-op to purchase cases of produce from which is incredible! I cannot wait… I’m hoping that it is affordable enough to stick to my $400 a month grocery limit.  I know that seems like a lot of money, but when buying organic it’s not always enough to last me the month. We’ll find out I supposed.

My favorite, and most inspiring raw foodists are Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram, and Megan Elizabeth. I love watching there videos on Youtube!

I will post more info on this soon!

Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Do you need a change now? Well fret no more, because the lovely Kris Carr has written the perfect book for you! Crazy Sexy Diet changed my perspective on life. After I read this I knew I couldn’t go back to eating proccessed junk and being a coach potato. I needed to be healthy, physically and mentally!

This isn’t your typical diet book. Each chapter is filled with amazing information about food and spirituality. Kris doesnt just tell you what’s good and what’s bad, she tells you why with scientific facts, as well as with her raunchy humor. This was a fun and eye-opening read.

Towards the end of the book, Kris challenges you to 21 days of a Crazy Sexy lifestyle, in which she maps out with pages of encouraging words. There’s also pages filled with yummy recipes! Don’t waste any time, go order this book right away! Transition from the standard american lifestyle, to a Crazy Sexy one. :)

I’m a stinky girl, and Jason’s deodorant does not keep the stench away.
This was a waste of 7 bucks. I wanted an all natural deodorant that was vegan and cruelty free. I had already tried Tom’s and it did not do the job for me either. Don’t get me wrong, both these companies have other GREAT products such as toothpaste and soaps. But there deodorant just doesn’t do it for me. If you don’t sweat a lot or have bad BO then this may work for you. Try it if that’s the case, because the ingredients are all natural and awesome.
I’m still in search for a good vegan deodorant that works for me!! ugh..

HI! My name is Marisa, and welcome to Vegan Eugenian. :)  Here you can see my life as a vegan, reviews of vegan products, and random ass posts.

I’ll start off with the story of how I became vegan; At the time I was trying to move towards a healthier lifestyle, hoping to even drop a few pounds. I was looking through health and diet books when I came across the book Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin. It inspired me! As well as informed me about all the nasty shit I had been shoveling in my mouth my whole life. I started slow and became vegetarian, which I did for a month before transitioning to veganism. During this time I read more vegan related books. Veganist by Kathy Freston. Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr. Vegan On The Cheap by Robbin Robertson. And many, many more.

Since then I’ve gone back and forth from being a junk-food vegan, to a health-nut vegan. I try my best to incorporate whole foods into my diet… but sometimes those chocolate bars won’t stop calling my name at the grocery store, and I have to surrender to their yumminess. :P

Another reason I became vegan is for all the little critters who are being treated like shit. They are innocent beings, being slaughtered for no good reason.
I recommend watching Earthlings, it will open your eyes on how cruel animals are actually being treated. Most people are blind to this factor… or just choose to ignore it so they don’t have to feel bad about eating animal products.

I hope my blog inspires others to move towards a compassionate diet. Just as I was inspired by a book at my local library. “Animals are my friends, and I don’t eat my friends.”

alrighty, toodles,
